Barb Stegemann is a real life example of the power of philosophy and self discovery in leading a happy and successful life. She came from humble beginnings and through the power of philosophy and visualization she uncovered (and continues to discover) the leader within. Guided by a vision that she could make a difference, nothing has prevented her from reaching her goals. She founded Acclimatize Communications Corp., a company that has helped large corporations and government organizations adapt to their changing environments. She gives talks to women and business professionals on economic development and delivers talks to youth on visualization. She’s made it her life’s work to empower people to tap into the answers they already have.

She advocates building women's networks with smart men and women as the most important route to advancing women in politics and business, and ultimately narrowing the gap between rich and poor. Her talks and company have tipped a new movement of empowering women to gain influence within predominantly male networks. She believes in and promotes the idea that until individual women get networked with women and men, children will continue to live in poverty. Through the ages, philosophy has been a predominantly male-dominated field of thought that has served male leadership in business and government. These timeless virtues taught through male-authored books were not historically as widely available to women. Until now. Barb Stegemann has brought into reality her vision for a women-centered leadership model based on the same principles of classical philosophy that men have used for centuries. And thus The 7 Virtues of a Philosopher Queen was born.
