Description

A joyous fragrance, Afghanistan Orange Blossom is layered with notes of freesia and jasmine. This precious organic oil is made from delicate orange blossoms harvested by Afghan farmers who bravely choose to tend these ancient groves instead of the poppy crop.

We buy this excellent oil at fair market value from our supplier who is rebuilding his community. Poetry festivals are held during the harvest in Jalalabad to celebrate the historic orange blossom groves.

Afghanistan Orange Blossom aired on CBC’s Dragons’ Den, making CEO, Barb Stegemann the first woman from Atlantic Canada to land a deal on the popular show. Stegemann went on to win the title of Top Game Changer in the history of CBC’s Dragons’ Den for her socially conscious company.

A beautiful fragrance with lovely hints of orange and freesia – natural, light and fresh….I love it!

  2. Sandra

I love this fragrance and everything it represents. So fresh. It makes me think of Spring whenever I wear it.

  3. Erin Sheppard

I adore this fragrance and the woman behind it – how wonderful that such a lovely perfume was created by such a socially conscious, inspiring business woman! I have four of the 7 Virtues fragrances and Orange Blossom is my favourite (followed closely by Noble Rose of Afghanistan!). Like the others, the scent is light and refreshing – and it’s subtle enough to be worn on a daily basis – even in our scent sensitive environments!

  4. Aryana Baggio

I’m in love with this perfume. I bought Orange Blossom and Noble Rose of Afghanistan, and I have a hard time choosing between the two.

  5. Lois (verified owner)

This is a top quality, exquisite orange blossom fragrance. Always fresh and natural smelling. Its heaven!

  6. Elizabeth Ertel

I started wearing Barb’s 7 Virtues when I first saw her on The Dragon’s Den! Yes Orange Blossom and Noble Rose are my go to fragrances. MIX then together for an amazing fragrance ! Just ordered the new Jasmine Neroli, can’t wait! Thank you Barb for all you do for our world.XX

This is an extremely fresh and pleasingly light green floral for those who aren’t fans of heavy, heady florals (think tuberose, gardenia). This is a floral even for non-floral fans. It’s overwhelmingly an orange blossom fragrance, which I adore. I credit this fragrance as the one which has converted me into a bonefide orange blossom lover. But this smells of REAL orange blossom, not something synthetic (if it’s synthetic, you could have fooled me). Also, this isn’t just the flower of the orange…it has the subtle greenness of the whole plant (leaves, stem etc.). And the jasmine! Oh, it’s light as air, fresh, clear and beautiful. The kind that you’d like to smell on the beach. This isn’t a “beachy” frag, but you could totally wear it to the beach because it’s so light and fresh and airy. I don’t get any obvious freesia, but I’m sure it contributes to the overall fresh nature of this fragrance. It’s uplifting and makes me happy, puts me in a good mood. This will NEVER be cloying, even if you bathed in it. I would guess that this would also be a crowd pleaser – inoffensive, fresh and lovely. It’s best in the hottest of hot weather, and I absolutely douse myself in it. It stays on skin not for super long, but on clothes I can still smell it at the end of a 9 hour workday. Did I mention how much I LOVE this fragrance? I’m so sad the company is discontinuing this line…time to stock up.
