Barb Stegemann received the Women’s Innovator Award from the U.S. Department of State at the APEC Women and the Economy Summit hosted by Hillary Rodham Clinton. The award recognized Barb Stegemann’s business model for the entire economy of Canada. The Canadian delegation to the summit was hosted by Minister Rona Ambrose.

First Female Hon Colonel 14 Wing Greenwood Canadian Forces Base

Barb Stegemann was made the first female Honorary Colonel in the history of 14 Wing Greenwood CFB. Her duties for her four year term were to advise the military, support her base at events, bring positive attention to the service of our military family at home and abroad. Barb completed her term in 2015 and remains an Honorary Colonel in the Royal Canadian Air Force for life.
